David Robertson, Host

David Robertson, host of Innovation Navigation, has been a student, teacher, and practitioner of the art of innovation for his entire career. In his latest quest to understand innovation, presently as a Professor of Practice at the Wharton School, Robertson intends to bring brilliant minds worldwide to share their knowledge with him, and you, as they explore what companies can do to boost innovation.

Robertson studied innovation as a student at the MIT Sloan School of Management, served as an innovation consultant at McKinsey & Company, led innovation teams as an executive at four software companies, and taught innovation to executives at Switzerland’s Institute for Management Development (IMD).

In addition to being a faculty member at Wharton, Robertson is a frequent public speaker and serves as a consultant to companies on innovation and technology management issues. Robertson published Brick by Brick: How LEGO Rewrote the Rules of Innovation and Conquered the Global Toy Industry as well as co-authored Enterprise Architecture Strategy.
